Rosa Rodríguez is a Spanish photographer and visual artist. Her work uses photography as a tool for research, focusing on the relationships between human beings and their natural and social environments. Her projects construct visual universes that investigate the ways in which we perceive, inhabit, and transform the world.
She studied Fine Art Photography at the School of Art and Design in Madrid and completed postgraduate studies in Visual Anthropology and Art Education.
She has received several awards, including the Profifoto New Talent Award (2023), the Earth Photo Award, granted by Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society (2022), and the Sustainable Award from the International Women in Photo Association – IWPA (2020), among others. In 2020, she was selected for the Canon Development Program at Visa pour l’Image.
Her work, in the form of books, exhibitions, and audiovisual projects, has been shown at festivals and art centres such as Les Rencontres d’Arles (2020, 2022, and 2026), Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival (2026), Photopia Festival (2023), Helsinki Photo Festival (2022), Photometria Festival (2022), Expo 2020 Dubai – French Pavilion (2022), and Encontros da Imagem Braga (2020).
Her photographs have been published in magazines including Fisheye, Profifoto, Salvaje, Burn, OjodePez, and Handbali, as well as in the newspaper El País.
In 2021, she published the photobook The White Line, supported by La Kursala (University of Cádiz). The book was selected among the best photobooks of the year by PhotoEspaña (2022) and was a finalist for the Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Award Arles (2020).
In 2026, the dummy photobook of her project Men in Grey Suits was selected among the ten finalists of the Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Award Arles.

Rosa Rodríguez es fotógrafa y artista visual española. Su trabajo utiliza la fotografía como una herramienta de investigación, atendiendo a las relaciones entre el ser humano, su entorno natural y social. Sus proyectos construyen universos visuales que indagan en las formas en que percibimos, habitamos y transformamos el mundo.
Estudió Fotografía Artística en la Escuela de Arte y Diseño de Madrid y cursó estudios de postgrado en Antropología Visual y Educación Artística.
Ha sido reconocida con el Premio Profifoto Nuevo Talento (2023), el premio Earth Photo, otorgado por Forestry England y la Royal Geographical Society (2022), y el Premio Sostenible de la International Women in Photo Association - IWPA (2020), entre otros reconocimientos. En 2020 fue seleccionada para el Programa de Desarrollo de Canon en Visa pour l’Image.
Sus trabajos, en forma de libros, exposiciones y proyectos audiovisuales, han sido presentados en festivales y centros de arte como Les Rencontres d’Arles (2020, 2022 y 2026), Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival (2026), Photopia Festival (2023), Helsinki Photo Festival (2022), Photometria Festival (2022), Expo 2020 Dubai – French Pavilion (2022) y Encontros da Imagem Braga (2020).

En 2021 publicó el fotolibro La Línea Blanca, con el apoyo de La Kursala (Universidad de Cádiz), que fue seleccionado entre los mejores fotolibros del año por PhotoEspaña (2022) y finalista en el Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Award Arles (2020).
En 2026, la maqueta de su libro Men in Grey Suits fue seleccionada entre las diez finalistas en Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Award Arles.
